CUSTOMER GUIDES

What happens before a connection date is confirmed?

A requested date helps everyone plan. It becomes a confirmed work date once the relevant requirements and arrangements are in place.

Opens a ready-to-edit email with this explanation. Check it, add a personal note and forward it.

01

The main checks

  • The connection scope and supply requirements are understood.
  • Any required Ausgrid application has been assessed and the connection requirements are understood.
  • The relevant electrical installation, site access and preparatory works are ready.
  • Retailer and metering arrangements are in place where needed.
  • The people, equipment and any required network attendance can be coordinated.

02

Send what you already have

The property address, referring business, plans and any application or job reference are a useful start. Tell us separately when you need a response and when the site needs power. You do not need to work out the technical answer yourself.

03

If something changes

Let the agreed project contact know about changes to the design, access or construction programme. They may affect the scope, approvals or timing. Preliminary advice and budget allowances are not a confirmed quotation, connection approval or booking.
